I think that the oil spill in the Gulf is inexcusable, and a potential World Ender. People say that the government should seize BP, BP says 'we got it, we got it', other pro-BP interests are turning it into a PR campaign...while residents are inhaling Benzene and choking to death. BP pretty much owns governments, as evidenced by this disaster. Everything heard about stopping the leak or trying to protect anything is horrific, and blatantly corrupted to the core.
Endangered sea turtles being set on fire, 'circus' events when a VIP shows up (and then removed, not cleaning anything up), and law enforcement working directly for BP's interests by removing media coverage (at the end of a gun) only show ineptitude and deficiency on all levels; an exact repeat of nearly every event of the Ixtoc spill of 1979, but far worse, has unfolded. BP blithely corrupts information networks with the power of money, co-opting search engines and video websites to display only their content and bumping everyone else's.
BP uses strangely available jet planes to disperse highly toxic chemicals into the spill from the air, causing massive "tarballs" to coalesce, killing far more life than the oil spill alone would. While zombies watch the flickering glow of fuzzy-feeling BP info-mercials, the reality is that the Gulf of Mexico is now utterly dead and gone. And it's headed for the Atlantic.
This opens the door for the new Green shit. Massive turds of technology that make living even more expensive, as real solutions are ignored through programmed fear. Taxes and "carbon credit " scrip issued and collected on a whim; all of the real, resource based wealth being controlled by non-entities called corporations. The real solutions are cellulose-based ethanol fuels, which can directly replace gasoline using the existing corn ethanol refineries and infrastructure. The cost of modifying most autos is between $100 and $300. Most fear the conclusions that this revelation brings. Instead, what people will demand is more subsidized corn ethanol, more "feel good" products made from slave-labor Chinese bamboo, and a continuation of the dispicable "leadership" we have had hoisted upon us by global corporations such as British Petroleum.
You can't stop a VOLCANO. That is exactly what the leak has turned into...a pocket of magma/oil bursting through the surface of the ocean floor. Are you fucking kidding me??
